The Capacity Building Workshops

Five workshops organised in France, Romania, Lithuania, Ireland and the Czech Republic during 2011-2012.

The Capacity Building Workshops took place in five strategically selected countries across the European Union, with over 90 participants benefiting from expert training.

Each woprkshop was a two and a half day event, covering all aspects of tobacco taxation and illicit trade topics and aised in the development of advocacy plans at national level for each country specific group.  Workshop participants consisted mainly of tobacco control advocates, public health students, economists and governmental ministeries of health and finance.
