The Smoke Free Partnership welcomes the openness shown by some of the EU political groups to inputs from civil society and stakeholders in the process of defining their electoral manifestos for them to better reflect citizen’s views. 

As we approach the 2024 EU elections, it is imperative that political groups embrace their responsibility to safeguard public health and uphold democratic principles. We strongly believe that in order to effectively achieve this objective, tobacco control should become a priority in all electoral manifestos.
