Brussels - Today marks the tenth anniversary of the entry into force of the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC).
Almost all countries in the WHO Europe region have ratified the WHO FCTC including all EU Member States, while a total of 180 countries have ratified the world's first international public health treaty across the globe, committing them to combatting the globalisation of the tobacco epidemic. The Smoke Free Partnership is the leading NGO operating at national and EU level working towards the effective implementation of the WHO FCTC.
