Tuesday, 07 February 2017
Vilnius - SFP’s partner NTAKK together with major Lithuanian institutions involved in tobacco control policy have co-signed a consensus position regarding their commitment to protect tobacco control policy from interference of the tobacco industry.
The focus of this effort is to ensure that tracking and tracing system adoption and implementation according to the TPD would be free from the interests of tobacco companies.
This document facilitates awareness of the tobacco control international treaties that Lithuania has ratified among all relevant organizations, and will provide the basis for implementing more transparent solutions within different agencies, as well as within framework of international negotiations and cooperation. This document has been shared with DG Health and Safety.
