Czech Republic enforces smoking ban after years of debate

Friday, 02 June 2017

Prague, 2 June 2017- Following the new law banning smoking in public places approved by the Czech Parliament and the President back on February 2017, the smoking ban in Czech Republic is finally in effect since Wednesday 31 May 2017.

We are very happy to announce that a smoking ban in Czech bars, restaurants and cafes took effect on Wednesday putting to an end the Czech Republic’s status as one of the last havens for tobacco smokers in Europe. We would like to congratulate our SFP Colition partner Česko Bez Kouře for all their effort and hard work on this issue.
