Deborah Arnott is Chief Executive of Action on Smoking and Health (UK), honorary associate professor in the Division of Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Nottingham, honorary fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and member of the RCP’s Tobacco Advisory Group. A recognised international expert on tobacco control and the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, she has a particular interest in product regulation and harm reduction.
She is a member of the Commission on Human Medicines expert advisory group to the UK’s Medicine and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency on nicotine containing products, as well as being a civil society observer to the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control Article 9 and 10 working group on tobacco product regulation. She was also a member of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) committee which developed guidance on Tobacco Harm Reduction.n 2012.
