Caren Willig joined the Smoke Free Partnership (SFP) in March 2015 as a part-time Operations Manager. Previously, Caren worked at the British Film Institute (BFI) in London for over 12 years as an Education Officer, Project Manager, and Researcher.
She specialised in film education, working on over 50 BFI Education Resources, BFI online resources, and numerous other BFI Education projects. She also ran study days for KS3 and A-level students on German cinema.
After moving to Brussels, she wrote a successful bid for the for the European Audience development project, worked on two pan-European Film Literacy projects, and at The International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF). Caren holds a degree in Rhetoric and Cultural Studies, as well as a degree in Critical and Creative Writing, from the University of Tübingen (Germany), and a Master’s degree in Media and Communications from Goldsmiths College University of London. She speaks English, German, and French.
